Boston College Transfer Deadline and Decision Date
For those looking to transfer to Boston College, you have the option of applying for either the Fall or Spring semester. If you are seeking admission for the upcoming fall term, try your best to get all materials in before our March 15th deadline. But if spring is more your style – then submit everything by November 1st! A decision will be made for fall applicants by May 20th, and regarding spring transfers – notifications will arrive no later than December 15th.
What GPA Do You Need For Boston College?
As a transfer applicant, there is no minimum GPA requirement. However, if you’re looking to stand out from the crowd and get accepted into Boston College, our experience suggests that you have a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
For Fall 2023 admission, Boston College has decided to continue its test-optional policy for transfer students.
Keep in mind GPA will not make or break your application alone (as long as you are competitive). Per the admissions office, “the Committee on Transfer Admission reviews each application individually. Primary emphasis is placed on the college record. However, the high school record, essays, recommendations, activities, and work experience are also critical components of the application. In recent years, students most successful in the transfer admission process had very strong records from both high school and college.”
